Happy Monday!

Hello, friends of learning!
We were a small but mighty group this morning, but were still able to get a lot done!
We wish all of our sick classmates a speedy recovery! :)
Looking forward to a great week!

Agenda

It's I Love to Read Month! See HERE for all sorts of great I-Love-to-Read-Month Info!

1. Science Classification project - Tomorrow! (Tuesday)

2. Pizza Lunch is this Thursday! Orders will be taken Wednesday morning.
$2.00/slice. (Cheese and pepperoni and cheese.)

3. Evalution Calcul - Thursday

4. We have now started the research and planning part of our biography concours speeches. Students will have time in class to research, but are encouraged to do some reading about their chosen person on their own in order to maximize their work time in class. World Book and Biography.com are two great sites to use as a starting point. The five main categories of research are:
Enfance (Childhood), Obstacles, Inspiration, Actions, Impact.
Students should focus on identifying main ideas and writing the information they've gained in French; writing research points in English only to translate them into French is twice the work. The goal is not to write an entire speech in English and then rewrite it - we will be focusing on generating our research points in French so that we can plan and organize our speeches directly from the work we've already done.
