Hello! Happy Monday!
A few highlights for the week:
1. Biography conferences - This is the last week for pre-scheduled/sign-up conference times. After this week, please reach out in Showbie to schedule a time. All revised texts (final, edited drafts) are due by the end of May (which is the end of this week).
2. We are starting a new theme in Français this week! Please read below for more details!
3. ELA! Don't forget that ELA is part of your 'remote essential learning' workload. Please check in with Mme Champagne daily to see what you are working on.
4. PA, Art, Band, Phys Ed: Your teachers are still working hard to connect with you here, too! The suggested connection with these subjects is 4 x 15 minute blocks (or a total of 1 hour per week). Please pop by when you can to see all of the great lessons that have been uploaded for you!
5. School work - I know that many students are working hard to complete lessons and assigned tasks every day. Please make sure part of your school time includes uploading your work to Showbie when you're done. Many tasks can now be completed directly in Showbie (by writing or recording a note on the posted files or by writing and posting a note in the assignment folder), or can be completed on paper and then handed in by posting a picture.
Please, please, please:
do not wait until the end of a unit to upload your assignments!
Do not wait until the last minute to upload all of your work from our entire time of remote learning! It is hard to provide feedback/next steps/extra help if an entire theme/unit comes in at once, and will be even harder to write a report card celebrating your hard work if your work doesn't get handed in at all. Please take time NOW to start planning how
you are going to finish
your school year. What are your goals? How are you going to achieve them? What supports might you need in Math, Français and ELA to succeed? Despite being away from school and working independently, you are not alone! I (and Mme Champagne, too!) am here to help, and happy to help, how I can.
Please do not hesitate to reach out and ask for support if needed! :)
Wishing you all a great week! Go team! :)
